When to call

Signs you need faucet & fixture installation

  • A drip that a new washer or cartridge does not stop, or a handle that is stiff, loose or leaking at the base
  • Low flow at the tap because the aerator or cartridge is clogged with mineral buildup
  • A pitted, peeling or discolored finish, or corrosion around the base of the faucet
  • A shower that sputters, will not hold its temperature or will not switch to the tub spout
  • A damp cabinet floor under the sink, swollen particleboard or a musty smell
  • A remodel underway, with a new vanity, sink, tub or kitchen faucet waiting to be connected

What you get

The ABC Plumbing difference

  • Brand-new braided stainless supply lines with every faucet installation
  • Seized or weeping shutoff valves replaced with reliable quarter-turn valves
  • Cabinet bases checked for old leaks and water staining before a new fixture covers them up
  • Your fixture or ours: we install what you bought after checking compatibility, or supply and advise
  • Most standard swaps finished in about an hour, with the area left clean
  • A 5-year written workmanship warranty on installations, with the manufacturer's warranty on the fixture passed through to you

What we install

Fixtures we install

Kitchen, bath and outdoor, supplied by you or by us. Here is what we install most often.

  • Kitchen faucets

Pull-down, touchless and filtered models, with new supply lines and a leak-tested sprayer hose.

  • Bathroom faucets

Single-hole, centerset and widespread, plus pop-up drain assemblies.

  • Showers and tubs

Cartridges, valves, diverters, rain heads and handheld sprayers.

  • Sinks and vanities

Undermount, drop-in and vessel sinks, traps and P-trap realignment.

  • Outdoor spigots

Hose bibs, frost-free sillcocks and anti-siphon backflow devices.

  • Shutoff valves

Replacing stiff or weeping angle stops and multi-turn valves with quarter-turn ones.

How an installation goes

From old fixture to drip-free

  1. 01

    Check the fit

We confirm your fixture suits your sink holes, supply connections and countertop before we start, so there are no surprises mid-job.

  2. 02

    Shut off and remove

We close the water, remove the old fixture and inspect the supply lines, shutoffs and cabinet base for corrosion or past leaks.

  3. 03

    Connect and install

New braided stainless supply lines, quarter-turn shutoffs where needed, and the new fixture mounted square and tight.

  4. 04

    Test and tidy

We run every handle, check each connection for drips, clear the aerator and wipe down the area, then show you the new controls.

Installed the way it should be

Most DIY faucet problems start below the counter: reused corroded supply lines, seized shutoff valves, or over-tightened nuts that crack. We replace supply lines with new braided stainless, and swap any shutoff that will not close fully.

We check cabinet bases for past leaks and water staining while we are there, and flag anything that needs attention before the new fixture masks it.

Repair or replace?

A dripping handle is often a ten-dollar cartridge or washer. If your faucet is pitted, discolored or uses hard-to-find parts, replacement is more sensible. If you want to keep a high-end fixture, we will tell you if we can rebuild it.

Orange County water is hard in many areas, and mineral buildup shortens fixture life and clogs aerators. Ask about pairing new fixtures with a softener or filter.

Supplying fixtures

Bring your own or let us supply. We stock reliable brand-name faucets and can advise on finishes, flow rates (1.2 to 1.5 GPM is typical for bathroom use) and warranty coverage.

If you are choosing between two models, call and describe them. We will tell you which has the better parts and the easier repair history.

Counters, stone and tricky layouts

On quartz, granite and other stone counters we work with the holes already there. Some sealants stain natural stone, so we choose the right one for your counter. If a new hole is needed, we coordinate with your fabricator instead of drilling the stone ourselves.

Touchless faucets need a power source and a spot for the control box under the sink, and wall-mounted and freestanding tub fillers need the supply lines in the right place before the wall closes. We plan the connections before we begin.
